I just wanted to take a minute to let every one know I'm alright, despite the events that shook my town last night. For those that don't know, a 24 year old man named James Holmes walked into the midnight premier of "Batman" last night and opened fire, killing 12 people and injuring 50. The theater where this occurred is right down the road from my house, we had emergency officials going by all night long. Several people who I went to High School with were in the theater, some of them shot but none killed. Last I heard at least two people I knew had been shot, one to the point of needing surgery. I have gotten multiple calls today, as well as notes on here, tweets, and asks on tumblr from people wanting to know that I'm okay, so I just wanted to let you guys know that I am completely fine. Please keep the victims and their families in your thoughts.
And you know what? I'm damn sick of writing these kinds of journals. Colorado has had enough tragedies for one year. Fate and Karma and whatever the hell else need to back the fuck off.
As much as I hate to use the batman quote everyone is throwing around, it does fit: "Some people just like to watch the world burn."
