Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me.

Nintendo STEALS Money!Since this has been going around lately, I should probably give my two cents. Basically what it amounts to is that Nintendo has filed Content ID info of their games with YouTube. What this means is that if you upload gameplay video of a Nintendo game, YouTube will automatically monetize that video, put ads on it, a link to where to buy the game, and take the money generated from that video and give it directly to Nintendo. People who do "let's play" videos are, naturally, pissed off because they want to be earning money off their videos, so they're calling Nintendo "thieves" for doing this.
I can see both sides to the story. I can see Nintendo as a corporation wanting to exercise control over their properties. On the other hand, "let's play" videos can often help new gamers find games they otherwise wouldn't have tried.
But here's the thing: Nintendo isn't the first company do this. Both Microsoft and Ubisoft do it already. YouTube has also had a long history of having music videos and

I have come to the decision that I really need to get my own place to live, away from my mother. Don't get me wrong, I really don't have that much of a problem with my mother, but if we keep living together one of us is going to kill the other. Slowly.
I've been thinking about doing this for awhile, but I was wary because of how expensive college is going to be. But I've already managed to cover about half of my total college tuition (about $40,000 is covered right now) with just grants and school based scholarships. Because of that, I've decided that I can manage paying for my own places as long as I have a roommate. So I called up my best friend, Alec, today and asked if he wanted to go 50/50 with me on an apartment since his college is only about 15 minutes from mine. He thought it was a great idea, since he really needs to get some space from his mother as well. We then decided to call up our friend Rose and see if she wanted to move in with us as well and split things three ways, and she was happy to get on board with the plan. Alec and Rose are probably the only people in the world I would consider rooming with. I have other good friends, but if I tried to live with them we'd drive each other up the walls.
We won't be moving until probably January though, since we all need some time to get things in order. I need to get a better job first, which I'll be doing next month once I have better transportation. I also need to work on getting some more money saved up. Because of that, I'm going to be pushing my commissions very heavily.
Every little bit will help guys, and I'd really appreciate some commissions. I really need to get money saved up to get out of my house. You can view all of my available commissions here: [link] Every little bit helps!
