...I'm confused...
You use their software in CS + a cloud for $50 a month?
That seems kinda like a rip-off. Maybe just buying CS would be better in the long-run.

Okay, the way I understand it is this: The software is NOT cloud based, there's just some cloud-based features included. The software will still be installed on your hard drive just like before and you will not need an internet connection to use it. With the subscription you will get all the new features as soon as they come out, rather then getting bundled updates every 18-24 months like in their previous update schedule. So, for example, lets say they come out with an improvement to brush stabilization in photoshop. You can get that as soon as it comes out rather than waiting for months and then getting a huge bundle of updates that include the new stabilization function.

As for paying it, it is basically a rental system. You pay for it, you can use it. You don't, you can't. They will continue to support CS6 with bug and security hole repair, and will make sure it will work with the next versions of windows and Mac OS, but they will no longer be developing new features for it.

I don't even use Photoshop and that's ridiculous. :u

I think I'll just save up for Sai now.

I've heard there's a change.org petition going 'round for this, but I can't seem to find it. :c

If I end up finding it again, would you like the link?

I'm going to give it a shot, but only because I'll get it free through my school.

If its free go for it ... but i just forked out god knows what for photoshop CS6, lightroom 3 and after effects and now they put something new out there i cant upgrade with and they expect me to pay monthly in order to just use it ... what if i dont have an internet connection? what if my connection dies when im in the middle of something? is it secure? has it been tested?
i dont know what their goal is but im going to stick with CS6 for a longgg time apparently

From what I've heard you don't need an internet connection for it to work, just for the updates. And if you don't have an internet connection you can continue to use the software for up to 180 days. Not 100% sure on that though.

But yeah, I get where you're coming from.
